What happens if we are half way through our netball season and/or majority of our teams are full? For situations like this we have developed a program called Rookie Training, specifically for new members that we can't currently fit into a team and that would like to still participate. Rookie Training involves allocating a new member to the appropriate team to train with for the remainder of the current season. The concept and benefits of Rookie Training is to provide new members with an opportunity to participate during the current season instead of doing nothing and waiting for the next season to commence. Some other benefits are that you will get a good introduction and feel of the club without a major commitment of uniforms etc plus you get to know everyone that you will most likely be in a team with the next season. In addition, should there be a need there will also be opportunities to fill in on a Saturday if a team is short. Player Pathways & High Performance
We are always striving to challenge our players and develop them to be the best netballers they can be. Each year the club hosts structured grading days for all age groups, in which all members new and returning, participate so that the club can allow players to develop in the appropriate section for their skill level. For the more determined and committed netballer, we provide detailed information about Netball Victoria's High Performance Pathways as well as preparing players and providing information on opportunities to trial at representative and regional levels, as well as other events. |
